Some pictures from the night with GUY DEACON CBE sharing his journey
Adventurer and Parkinson’s campaigner on a mission to raise awareness of Parkinson’s disease worldwide
18,000 miles, 25 countries, 19 breakdowns and 3650 prescription pills.
Guy’s book – Running on Empty captures the incredible challenge and will be on sale at this event
The real substance to the book is Guy’s remarkable life journey post diagnosis. It tracks his remaining years in the army and his decision, despite ever worsening health, to attempt a solo overland journey from his home town in Dorset through Europe and down the west coast of Africa to Cape Town, as a means of raising funds and awareness of Parkinson’s disease.
